Punjab Minister reaffirms welfare of freedom fighters, ex-servicemen, widows as top priority.

Punjab’s Minister for Freedom Fighters and Defence Services Welfare, Mohinder Bhagat, reaffirmed that the welfare of freedom fighters, ex-servicemen, widows, and their dependents remains a top priority for the state government.

The Minister was speaking during his visit to the Maharaja Ranjit Singh War Museum and the Defence Services Welfare Office in Ludhiana yesterday.

He emphasized that the nation will forever be indebted to the brave individuals whose sacrifices secured the country’s independence.

Mr Bhagat said, 13 percent of job vacancies in Group A, B, C, and D posts in Punjab have been reserved for ex-servicemen. He instructed officials to ensure that the concerns of freedom fighters, ex-servicemen, and widows are properly addressed.
