In Punjab, the “Aarambh” programme, aimed at enhancing early childhood education has been launched. The activities provided to parents and educators will be aligned with the state’s curriculum, ensuring they are easy to implement at home while promoting cognitive, pre-literacy, pre-numeracy, social-emotional and fine and gross motor skills in children.
Akashvani’s correspondent reports that the “Aarambh” initiative is designed to focus on the holistic development of young children attending Anganwadi centres.
It is set to provide a nurturing and play-based learning environment for children, with active participation from parents and Anganwadi workers. The program aims to foster comprehensive development through engaging activities.
“Aarambh” is grounded in the key principles of the National Education Policy 2020 and aligns with national initiatives like the foundational “Aadharshila” and “Poshan bhi Padhai bhi” training curriculum introduced by the Ministry of Women and Child Development.
