Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone of Talabira Thermal Power Project of Neyveli Lignite Corporation India Limited, under the Coal Ministry in Odisha on Saturday.
According to the Ministry, the project worth over 27,000 crore rupees will focus on producing electricity at a cost of 3.65 rupees per unit. The state-of-the-art project aims to provide reliable, affordable and continuous power, making a significant contribution to the nation’s energy security and playing a crucial role in driving economic growth.
The Ministry said that the thermal power plant will ensure higher efficiency, reduced carbon footprint and an impressive 10 percent eco-friendly biomass co-firing initiative.
