Met Dept forecasts intermittent rain, thundershowers across J&K till Sept 12.

The Meteorological Department has forecast intermittent rain and thundershowers across J&K till the 12th of this month, but ruled out any major weather activity.

As per the MeT department, a widespread spell is likely between today and tomorrow, with light rain or thundershowers expected at many locations. Some districts in the Jammu division may experience moderate rainfall during late night or early morning hours.

From September 9 to 12, brief spells of rain or thunder are likely at isolated places across the Union Territory. Meanwhile, the traffic is plying on the Mughal Road as per the advisory.

However, the strategic Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH44) is still closed for vehicular movement for the 6th consecutive day today. Restoration work is going on.

Continuous efforts are being made by the National Highway Authority of India, which includes men and machinery. People are advised not to undertake a journey on NH-44 till the restoration work is completed.
