In Manipur, Chief Minister N. Biren Singh inaugurated the Good Government Week Program at the Cabinet Hall of CM Secretariat in Imphal today.
The nationwide campaign “Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore” under Good Government Week will be continued till the 24th of this month.
Addressing the inaugural function, Shri Biren said that Good Governance Day is celebrated to commemorate the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee on the 25th of December for his statesmanship and visionary leadership.

The Chief Minister recalled that on being sworn in as the Chief Minister of Manipur in March 2017, the idea to make Manipur an inclusive State with equal developments in both hills and valleys came to his mind at the first instance.
As such, the government introduced the Go to Hills mission to bridge the developmental gaps across the State. After knowing the ground reports of the far-flung areas through the Go to Hills mission, the Go to Village mission was introduced to take governance at the doorsteps of the people, he added.
