Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that in the coming times, curbing narcotics will be the biggest challenge before the police, and a major fight will have to be waged against it.
He was speaking in Pune after inaugurating several key projects, In Pune today, including a modern Command and Control Centre equipped with advanced technology, five mobile surveillance vans.
Fadnavis announced that to tackle Pune’s traffic congestion, a comprehensive Intelligent Traffic Management System using satellite technology will be implemented, enabling integrated control of traffic signals at 503 junctions. An Urban Mobility Plan for Pune and PMRDA has also been prepared to address traffic issues.
Highlighting police reforms, Fadnavis said the Mahayuti government has created a new police framework after 60 years, making the force stronger and better equipped for modern challenges.
