Mahakumbh celebrates diversity and is a symbol of global unity: Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat.

Union Tourism and Culture Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat has said the Mahakumbh Mela to be held at Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh, early next year is a symbol of global unity.

Speaking at the curtain raiser for the Mahakumbh 2025 prelude yesterday, the Minister described the event as an opportunity global exchange of culture, art, and craft. He emphasised that the Mahakumbh celebrates diversity, and the government is fully committed to providing the best accommodation, transportation, and tours for visitors of the Mahakumbh Mela from around the world.

Uttar Pradesh’s Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh encouraged foreign delegates to invite their families and friends to the event. He noted that the joint effort between the Centre and the state has made the Mahakumbh welcoming for international guests.

Ambassadors and high commissioners from countries such as Bhutan, Nepal, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, the USA, Malaysia, Myanmar, the UK, and others attended the curtain raiser. The Mahakumbh 2025 will begin on the 13th of January and conclude on the 26th of February next year.
