In Jharkhand, the Budget Session of the Legislative Assembly began today with the address of Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar in Ranchi. 21 new MLAs are representing their constituencies for the first time in the Budget Session of the State Assembly. This session will comprise a of total 20 working days starting from today till March 27. The third supplementary budget for the financial year 2024-25 will also be tabled in this session.
Along with this, the state budget for the fiscal year 2025-26 will also be presented by Finance Minister Radhakrishna Kishor on March 3. Addressing the session on the inaugural day, Assembly Speaker Rabindranath Mahato called upon all the MLAs to ensure their presence during the session.
Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar in his address to the house, elaborated on the achievements of the state government. He appealed to all the members of the House to play a positive role in the development of Jharkhand. The Governor said that the huge mandate proves that his government lives in the hearts of the people.
Mr. Gangwar said that the state government is constantly working to curb cybercrime. The government has adopted a strict stance against child labour. The Governor further said in his address that significant changes have been seen in the state due to the implementation of many government schemes such as Abua Awas Yojna and Maiyya Samman Yojana. He also added that the government is striving for industrial development and providing measures for having a corruption-free state.
