Major General Jarken Gamlin (Retd) has been sworn in as Arunachal Pradesh Chief Information Commissioner today. He was administered the ‘Oath of Affirmation’ by Governor Lt. General K.T. Parnaik (Retd) at the Darbar Hall of Raj Bhavan in Itanagar, in the presence of Chief Minister Pema Khandu and other dignitaries.
Gamlin, a distinguished retired Army officer, replaces Rinchin Dorjee, whose tenure ended on August 12. He will serve as Chief Information Commissioner for a period of three years or until he attains the age of 65.
Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu congratulated Gamlin on his new role, praising his leadership and vision.
Gamlin’s appointment is expected to bring a new level of expertise and experience to the Arunachal Pradesh Information Commission.
