India Meteorological Department has forecast cold wave to severe cold wave conditions over Himachal Pradesh, west Rajasthan, Jammu-Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh today.
Cold wave conditions in these regions will continue for the next two days. East Rajasthan and Jharkhand are likely to experience dense fog conditions during the night and morning hours today.
The weather department also predicted heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam. The IMD said that there will be no significant change in minimum temperatures likely over Northwest and Eastern India during the next 3 days.
The met department said that Maharashtra and Central India are likely to witness a rise in minimum temperature by 2-3 degrees Celsius. Ground Frost conditions are likely to prevail in Himachal Pradesh in the coming 3 days.
