In Bihar, the flood situation in Nalanda and Jehanabad districts has slightly improved. Last night, flash floods had wreaked havoc across several villages.

As the water level of the Lokayeen, Falgu, and other seasonal rivers in the region have started to recede, there is slight relief reported. However, in Gaya Ji district, continuous rainfall has led to a rise in the water levels of the Muhane and Falgu rivers, flooding several new low-lying areas.

The district administration has intensified relief operations. Community kitchens are being operated in the flood-affected areas of Bodh Gaya, where cooked meals are being provided to the affected people.

In Hilsa and Ekangar Sarai blocks of Nalanda district, and in Hulasganj and Ghosi blocks of Jehanabad district, crops have suffered heavy damage due to flooding. Considering the risk of houses along the riverbanks collapsing due to their weakened condition, people have been advised not to return to these homes.
