Manipur did not receive any inclement weather in the last 24 hrs, leading to improvement in the flood condition in the State. Major rivers in the State have receded from the danger level, bringing much needed relief to the State who had recently experienced heavy rainfall due to Cycle Remal..
Despite the drop in water level major low lying localities of the valley districts still continue to suffer from water logging. The State Medical Directorate and its staff are actively conducting health camps in various parts to ensure that there is no outbreak of epidemics.
Manipur Chief Minister, Nongthombam Biren also monitored the river dredging activities at Khuman Lampak Sports Complex adjoining areas. Manipur Fire Service personnels were pressed into action to clean the canal which had overflown due to breach of Imphal River on Wednesday.
