9 killed in blast in explosives manufacturing factory in Nagpur, Maharashtra.

In Maharashtra, at least 9 people have lost their lives after an explosion took place in the Solar Industries a factory of explosives, at Nagpur this morning.

Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has announced compensation of 5 lakh Rupees to heirs of the deceased. Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar have visited the spot. 

The explosion took place when the workers were assembling a process of manufacturing boosters which are used in the coal mines. All the labourers and staffers of the company were evacuated from the spot when this incident took place.

Solar Industries Senior General Manager Ashish Shrivastav was quoted saying that the incident occurred in the building where boosters used in coal mines are produced. The blast took place while the products were being sealed. “Relief is being extended,” he said.
