At least 5 persons were killed and 30 others injured, some of them seriously, when a private bus met with an accident and fell into a drain in Punjab’s Faridkot district this morning.
According to official sources, the bus skidded off the road and plunged into a drain while trying to avoid a collision with a truck coming from the opposite side on the Kotkapura-Faridkot road.
Fardikot Police Chief Dr. Pragya Jain said that the injured have been admitted to the hospitals. Three of the five dead have been identified. An FIR has been registered, and investigations are on.
