In the Women’s Premier League (WPL) Cricket, Delhi Capitals defeated UP Warriorz by seven wickets at the Kotambi Stadium in Vadodara last night.
Delhi Capitals won the toss and decided to bowl. UP Warriorz rode on opener Kiran Navgire’s quick-fire half-century to post 166 for seven in 20 overs.
In reply, Delhi completed the chase with the loss of three wickets and a ball to spare. Captain Meg Lanning was at her majestic best through a fine 69, while Annabel Sutherland and Marizanne Kapp held their nerve to be unbeaten on 41 and 29. Annabel Sutherland is the Player of the match.
Tomorrow, Royal Challengers Bengaluru will take on Mumbai Indians at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
