In Shooting, the Indian pair of Inder Singh Suruchi and Saurabh Chaudhary clinched a gold medal beating Chinese duo of Qianxun Yao and Kai Hu by 17-9 in the finals of 10 metre Air Pistol Mixed Team event at ISSF World Cup 2025 in Lima, Peru. Earlier, the Indian mixed duo of Olympic medalist Manu Bhakar and Ravinder Singh missed out on a podium finish after losing to Chinese pair of Qianke Ma and Yifan Zhang in the crucial Bronze medal match.
The Indian pair which had shot 580 in qualification, made it to the gold match after being tied on the same score with the other Chinese team, by virtue of its better score of inner 10s, 20x to 17x.
While it was the third gold for the 18-year-old Suruchi in World Cups, after her individual gold in both Buenos Aires and Lima, it was the ninth career gold in World Cups for the 22-year-old Saurabh, an Olympic finalist, and champion of Asian Games, Youth Olympics and World juniors.
The second Indian team of Manu Bhaker and Ravinder Singh was beaten to the bronze by the Chinese 17-6.
