IPL. MI beat DC, RCB crushed RR by 9 wickets.

Mumbai Indians beat Delhi Capitals by 12 runs in their IPL match at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi last night.


Sent in to bat, Tilak Varma hit a 33-ball 59 to power Mumbai Indians to 205 for five. Ryan Rickelton, Suryakumar Yadav and Naman Dhir also made useful contributions.


In reply, Delhi Capitals were all out for 193 in 19 overs, despite Karun Nair’s 40-ball 89. Karn Sharma claimed three wickets, while Mitchell Santner took two wickets. For DC, Vipraj Nigam and Kuldeep Yadav snapped two wickets each, while Mukesh Kumar took one.


In another match yesterday, Royal Challengers Bengaluru defeated Rajasthan Royals by 9 wickets at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. Chasing the target of 174 runs, Royal Challengers Bengaluru scored 175 for the loss of only one wicket in 17.3 overs. Earlier, Rajasthan Royals, put into bat, scored 173 runs for four in stipulated 20 overs.
