ICC Nominates Smriti Mandhana & Arshdeep Singh for Cricketer of the Year Award 2024.

The International Cricket Council has announced the nominees for the ICC awards 2024. Indian Pacer Arshdeep Singh has been named among the nominees for the T20I Cricketer of the Year award, joining Zimbabwe’s Sikandar Raza, Pakistan’s Babar Azam and Australia’s Travis Head. Arshdeep starred in the T20 World Cup triumph for India and took 36 wickets in T20 Internationals, this year.

In the Women’s Emerging Cricketer of the Year category India’s Shreyanka Patil is amongst the final list of nominations for the iconic award, while Smriti Mandhana is shortlisted for the Women’s ODI Cricketer of the Year award.

ICC has also announced nominations for the Women’s T20I Cricketer of the Year, Emerging Men’s Cricketer of the Year and Men’s ODI Cricketer of the Year award.

However, no Indian player was able to make the cut. The ICC Awards 2024 comprises 12 individual awards, with shortlists in nine categories being revealed by the ICC between 28 to 30th December. Winners of the ICC Awards will be announced in late January, next year.
