Yatri Seva Diwas Celebrated at Tamil Nadu Airports with Cultural Festivities.

Yatri Seva Diwas will be celebrated at the airports in Tamil Nadu. Cultural events have been planned from this morning to the evening. The passengers will be given a traditional welcome with flowers, turmeric, and Kumkum.

Senior citizens will be given the opportunity to plant trees inside the campus, and drawing, painting and essay competitions will be conducted for children. There will be a selfie point also. A blood donation camp and an awareness program on career opportunities at the Airport Authority of India will also be conducted for higher secondary students.

The Airports Authority of India is observing Yatri Sewa Diwas across the country today to highlight its focus on passenger-centric services. Airports have lined up a range of activities to mark the day dedicated to enhanced passenger experience and seamless air travel. Puducherry Airport, a key gateway for tourists visiting South India, has also planned several initiatives.

A free health check-up for passengers and visitors, an aviation career orientation and airport familiarisation programme for school students, and a blood donation camp are among the highlights of the Yatri Sewa Diwas activities at Puducherry Airport.

A tree plantation drive under the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ initiative, a painting competition for children, and a folk dance performance by Pondicherry University students are also scheduled. Passengers will be welcomed in the traditional way with a tika and flower buds.

Talking to Akashvani, Puducherry Airport Director K. Rajasekhar Reddy said that additional arrangements include a photo booth, a passenger feedback survey on airport amenities, and influencer vlogs highlighting passenger facilities.
