Sachin Pilot’s support of rebel MLAs dwindles, 106 Congress MLAs flocked to Jaipur resort

Sachin Pilot who till late Sunday said that he had the support of at least 30 MLAs seemed to be losing grip of the situation with thee Congress today claiming to have staved off a threat to its Rajasthan government with Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot flashing the victory sign after a meeting of MLAs at his home.

While the chief minister claimed the support of 106 MLAs, his deputy Sachin Pilot contested the claim, insisting that the Congress has lost its majority.

Meanwhile taking no chances, the Congress moved its MLAs in buses to resorts, away from any coup attempts. The Congress also reached out to Sachin Pilot, working on a deal that may include a face-saver for him.
