Process of formation of new government begins in Bihar

Days after National Democratic Alliance (NDA) emerged victorious in the Bihar Assembly elections bagging 125 seats, the process of formation of a new government in the state has begun with discussion among allies of NDA continuing.

JD(U) President Nitish Kumar held meeting with party senior leaders at his official residence last night. The Party General Secretary K. C. Tyagi said, formation of new government under leadership of Nitish Kumar is likely to be after Deepawali. The tenure of Bihar Assembly is till 29th of this month.

Meanwhile, Chief of Vikassheel Insan Party (VIP) Mukesh Sahni and President of Hindustani Awaam Morcha(HAM) President Jitan Ram Manjhi met Nitish Kumar. Later talking to reporters, Mr.Manjhi said, he will not be a member of the State Cabinet as he is former Chief Minister. It may be noted VIP and HAM got four seats each in the Assembly elections.

The RJD has convened party legislators’ meeting at residence of Rabri Devi in Patna to analyse party performance in Assembly polls.
