Over 142 crore 47 lakh doses of COVID vaccine have been administered in the country so far under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive. Union Health Ministry said, more than 72 lakh 87 thousand vaccine doses were administered in the last 24 hours.
The Ministry said, six thousand 450 COVID patients recovered during the last 24 hours and the national recovery rate stands at 98.40 percent. Till now, more than three crore 42 lakh 43 thousand people have recovered from COVID-19.
The country reported six thousand 358 new Covid cases in last 24 hours. Currently, India’s active caseload is around 75 thousand. Presently the active cases constitute 0.22 percent of the country’s total positive cases, which is lowest since March last year.
The Ministry said, the testing capacity across the country continues to be expanded and more than 67 crore 41 lakh COVID-19 tests have been conducted so far.
