The Operation Theatre (OT) and Emergency Department at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Delhi-Trauma Centre is fully functional from 7.30 am today. AIIMS has informed that the basement area of AIIMS Trauma Centre was flooded as heavy rains lashed the city on Friday.
According to a notice by AIIMS issued on Friday, all the OTs were non-functional due to the non-functioning of the air-conditioning and water seepage from the walls. Due to this, the neurosurgeries were kept on halt and emergency patients were referred to Safdarjung Hospital or any other government hospitals. Now, all OTs have started at the trauma centre.
