J&K Police awarded 50 Medals for gallantry and meritorious service.

The Jammu and Kashmir Police has bagged 50 medals for gallantry and meritorious services on the eve of 78th Independence Day. Our Correspondent reports that according to the list of awardees announced by the Union Home Ministry today, a total of 50 personnel from the Jammu and Kashmir Police figure in the list of awardees. Two police officers have been chosen for the President’s Medal for Distinguished Services. Imtiyaz Hussain Mir (SSP) and Joginder Singh (SSP) have been awarded the President’s Medal for Distinguished Services. While 31 J&K Police personnel will be awarded medals for gallantry and 17 medals for meritorious services.

Meanwhile, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha extended his congratulations to the J&K Police personnel selected for gallantry awards to be presented on Independence Day.
Taking to micro-blogging site X (formerly twitter) LG Manoj Sinha said: “Congratulations to all the @JmuKmrPolice personnel who have been awarded the Medal for Gallantry, President’s Medal for Distinguished Service, and Medal for Meritorious Service on the occasion of Independence Day 2024. The nation is proud of your courage, grit & selfless service”.
