Environment, Forest, and Climate Change Minister Bhupender Yadav has emphasised the need to promote the reuse and recycling of products.
Addressing the 18th Conclave on Waste Recycling and Climate Change 2025 in New Delhi today, Mr. Yadav emphasised minimising resource waste and focusing on maximising resource efficiency to become a developed country by 2047.
The minister said the market value of India’s circular economy will be around two trillion US dollars by 2050 and stated the circular economy will create ten million jobs.
The circular economy is an economic model that aims to eliminate waste and promote sustainability through reuse and resource efficiency.
