India logs 1,892 cases of Omicron variant so far

A total of one thousand 892 cases of Omicron have been reported in the country so far. Out of the total cases, Maharashtra has reported 568 followed by Delhi with 382, Kerala with 185 cases, and Rajasthan has reported 174 cases. Union Health Ministry said, till now, 766 people have recovered from the infection.

India administers more than 146.70 crore COVID vaccine doses under Nationwide Vaccination Drive

More than 146 crore 70 lakh COVID vaccine doses have been administered in the country so far under Nationwide Vaccination Drive.

Health Ministry said, more than 99 lakh 27 thousand doses were administered in the last 24 hours. The Ministry said a total of 37 thousand 379 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours.

India’s Active caseload stands at one lakh 71 thousand 830. The active cases account for less than one percent of total cases and are currently at 0.49 percent. The recovery rate is currently at 98.13 percent. A total of 11 thousand 7 people recovered in the last 24 hours and total recoveries touched over three crore 43 lakh and 6 thousand.

The weekly positivity rate currently stands at 2.05 percent while the Daily positivity rate is at 3.24 percent.

Over 68 crore 24 lakh COVID tests have been conducted in the country so far. In the last 24 hours, more than 11 lakh 54 thousand tests were conducted.
