The air quality in Delhi-NCR is in the severe category, with an average Air Quality Index (AQI) of 446 as of 8 this evening. According to the Central Pollution Control Board, some parts of the city have breached the 450 AQI levels.
Delhi’s Sonia Vihar station was recorded at 470, Anand Vihar at 465, Rohini at 464, IGI Airport at 459, Mandir Marg at 451, and Shadipur at 451.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast that Delhi and NCR are likely to experience smog and shallow fog during the night and morning hours over the next 2-3 days.
