The air quality in Delhi–NCR has been registered in the poor category with an average Air Quality Index (AQI) of 218 as of 8 PM this evening.
According to the Central Pollution Control Board, the AQI in some areas of the city has crossed the 300 mark.
The AQI at Delhi’s Sirifort station was recorded at 306, Vivek Vihar at 305, Nehru Nagar at 290, Patparganj at 287, Jahangirpuri at 284, ITO at 250 and Mundka at 249.
An AQI between 0 and 50 is considered good, 51 and 100 satisfactory, 101 and 200 moderate, 201 and 300 poor, and 301 and 400 very poor. An AQI between 401 and 450 is considered severe.
