In the Kashmir Valley, the counter-terrorist operation in the Gadool forest area of Kokernag in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district continues and has entered for the fourth-day today. Additional Director General of Police Kashmir, Vijay Kumar said that 2-3 terrorists are trapped in the area and would be neutralised soon.

The encounter between terrorists and security forces had broken-out on Wednesday afternoon in which two Army Officers and a DSP of Jammu & Kashmir Police made their supreme sacrifices when they came under attack from the hiding terrorists in the Gadool forest area of Kokernag.
Meanwhile, the operation in Gadool forest area is on and security forces have been using Grenades and Rocket-Propelled Grenade (RPGs) attacks against the terrorists hiding in the forest area.
