BSF Foils Infiltration Bid, Guns Down Pakistani Intruder on Jammu Border.

In Jammu and Kashmir, a Pakistani intruder was shot dead along the International Border in Jammu late last night. Akashvani Jammu Correspondent reports that according to the PRO BSF Jammu, an intruder was seen crossing the international border in the Jammu border area on the intervening night of April 4 and 5 and was subsequently neutralised in the border outpost Abdulian in the R S Pura sector.

The identity and motive of the intruder are being ascertained. The BSF spokesperson said that a strong protest is being lodged with the Pakistani counterpart regarding the incident.

On the intervening night of April 4 and 5, BSF personnel observed suspicious movement across the border, the spokesperson said. After some time, the personnel allegedly spotted an intruder crossing the IB. The intruder was challenged, but he did not stop, the spokesperson added.

Sensing the threat, the BSF personnel ‘’neutralised’’ the intruder, the spokesperson said, adding that his identity and the motive for infiltration are being ascertained. The BSF will lodge a “strong” protest with its Pakistani counterparts, the spokesperson added.
