Bihar Approves First Film Promotion Policy To Support Movie Makers.

Bihar government approved its first film promotion policy which is aimed to provide full institutional support to movie makers and cinema enthusiasts.

The decision was taken during the cabinet meeting which was chaired by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. According to policy financial grants of up to four crore rupees will be provided for producing regional films showcasing cultural heritage of Bihar.

The policy targets to attract filmmakers with scenic locations and infrastructure in Bihar.

The government will provide full institutional support to movie makers for feature films, documentaries, TV serials and OTT films. Special financial grants and incentives will also be provided under the policy for regional films in Bhojpuri, Maithili, Magahi, angika and Bajjika. For financial support, shooting permission and other help a Film Facilitation Cell will also be constituted.
