Asia’s Major Literary Festival ‘Unmesh’ commences in Patna. Bihar Governor Inaugurates Event.

Unmesh, one of Asia’s biggest literary festivals, is beginning in Patna today. The third edition of this festival is being organised by the Sahitya Akademi. Bihar Governor Arif Mohammed Khan will inaugurate the festival at the Samrat Ashok Convention Hall in the capital.

Several renowned literary figures and big names from art and culture from India and abroad will participate in the event. The International Literature Festival is being organised by the Ministry of Culture, which will be devoted to different topics.

The 3rd edition of the four-day International Literature Festival Unmesha will be held from September 25 to September 28, 2025 at the Samrat Ashok Convention Centre, Patna, Bihar

It will be organised by Sahitya Akademi in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Government of India and the Government of Bihar.

Unmesh 2025 will be attended by over 550 eminent writers, poets, scholars, translators, publishers and eminent personalities from various fields, representing over 100 languages. The festival will be held over 4 days with 90 sessions and will see participation from writers from around 15 countries.
