Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that public mandate received by the BJP in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh Assembly elections is a reflection of the aspirations of a New India. Mr Modi said, the public support received by the party is a manifestation of the Yuva Soch of the youth of India. Prime Minister said, election results also indicate that the common man has a strong desire for a developed India. Mr Modi highlighted that it is also a support of the public given to BJP for the empowerment of the poor, exploited, deprived, tribals. Mr Modi was addressing the BJP workers at Party Headquarters in New Delhi yesterday evening after Assembly Elections results of Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh. The Prime Minister mentioned that public mandate received by the BJP is also important as it has come at a time when India has entered the Amrit Kaal which shows that the next 25 years are only for the politics of development. He said, people voted for BJP because it has provided every facility to every family. He mentioned that BJP has the power to take the biggest and toughest decisions in the interest of the country. Mr Modi pointed out that public anger is increasing continuously against nepotism and corruption and he looks at it as a positive development for a healthy democracy.
Prime Minister emphasized that the heart of youth can be won only by vision and development and the BJP has vision as well as commitment towards development. Mr Modi said that Youth vote only when they have faith in the government and the development work is visible. He noted that when the youth voted in large numbers for the BJP, the message behind it is very clear that the youth have tested and trusted the work of the government. Mr Modi said, people of Gujarat have broken all records by giving the biggest mandate to the BJP in the history of the State.
On Himachal Pradesh Assembly poll results, Mr Modi said, the difference between the number of votes for BJP and Congress was less than one percent which reflects that people of the State had tried to ensure the BJP victory. He assured the people of Himachal Pradesh that the Central government will leave no stone unturned for the development of the State despite BJP’s defeat in the election.
Prime Minister also thanked Election Commission for conducting elections peacefully in two States saying that re-polling was not required at any polling booth.
In his address at the Party Headquarters, BJP President J P Nadda thanked the people of Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat for their mandate and the party workers for their hard work. Mr Nadda said, it is a historic day as the party has achieved a record-breaking win in the Gujarat Assembly elections. Speaking on the results of MCD polls in the national capital, the BJP Chief thanked the party workers for their hard work. He said, the party will play a constructive role as an opposition in the MCD. He accused the Arvind Kejriwal-led government of not releasing the 33 thousand crore rupees fund owe to the MCD.
