Sunday, 6th. August, 2023. New Delhi . After not getting an Indian visa, a Pakistani woman married a native of Jodhpur online. Amina, a native of Karachi, decided to marry Arbaaz Khan, a chartered accountant, online after not getting a visa.
Such a virtual marriage comes at a time when cross-border love marriages are being discussed. Earlier, Pakistani woman Seema Haider had come to India with her four children to marry a Noida native whom she met through a mobile game.
Amina will apply for a visa. I did not go to Pakistan and get married because of lack of recognition. “If they come to India, we will get married again,” Arbaaz said after the ceremony. Relatives and friends attended the virtual wedding ceremony at Oswal Samaj Bhawan, Jodhpur.
Not only the Nikah, but all marriage-related ceremonies were conducted virtually. Jodhpur Khasi presided over the ceremony. He also wished the couple on their marriage. Arbaaz responded after the ceremony that it was an arranged marriage by his family and his relatives in Pakistan came up with the idea.
The marriage was arranged by both the families. He added that the reason for doing Nikah online is because the relationship between India and Pakistan is not good these days. Arbaaz is hoping that Ameena will be able to come to India soon after getting her visa.
