In Madhya Pradesh, the e-Mandi scheme is being expanded in the other mandis of the state. This scheme is being implemented in 41 more mandis from January 1.
In Madhya Pradesh, the e-Mandi scheme of Madhya Pradesh State Agricultural Marketing Board is already implemented in 42 mandis. The government has set a target to convert all 259 mandis to e-mandis by April next year.
Under the e-Mandi scheme, the proceedings from entry into the mandi premises to auction, weighing and payment will be computerized.
The record of agricultural produce being sold by farmers in the mandi will also be available online on a real time basis. This will reduce crowd in the mandis and will be convenient for the farmers.
The decision has been taken in order to bring transparency and provide easy business for accessing bills of their products at the mandis.
A detailed proposal was put forth before Chief Minister Mohan Yadav by the Madhya Pradesh State Agricultural Marketing Board (Mandi Board) for expansion of the tested scheme, which was approved, said an official.
The process has been simplified for the farmers through the Mandi app.
Farmers have been provided with the facility that they can make their entry slip themselves from their mobile phones before coming to the mandi.Once the entry slip is made, they will not need to give their complete data to the mandis again
