37th National Games 2023. Maharashtra continues to be on top with 208 medals including 71 golds.

With one day left for closure of the 37th National Games 2023, the excitement at the prestigious sporting in Goa is at its peak. Tomorrow the games will be concluded and grand closing ceremony will take place at Shyama Prasad Indoor Stadium in Panaji. The competitions of sports like Hockey, Handball, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Football and many others concluded today while games of shooting, golf, yogasana will be concluded tomorrow.

In a thrilling match of Men’s Hockey final, Haryana defeated Karnataka by a score of 5-3, while Bronze medal was secured by Uttar Pradesh. In Women’s Hockey final, Madhya Pradesh Defeated Haryana, while Bronze medal was secured by Jharkhand. In Men football, Services defeated Manipur by a score of 2-1 and Kerala won Bronze medal. In women football, Odisha defeated Manipur by a score of 4-2 and Haryana won Bronze medal.

The most epic showdown unfolded in men’s Kabaddi final clash between Haryana and Services, in which Services defeated Haryana by a score of 34-25. In women’s Kabbadi, Himachal Pradesh won a gold medal and Haryana got a silver medal. Female Kho-kho gold is won by Maharashtra and Odisha got a silver medal.

Maharashtra has continued its dominance in National Games from its beginning to even last days and retained its first position. Till now Maharashtra has bagged 208 medals including 71 gold. Services Sport Control Board also continued its second position in medal tally with a total of 117 medals including 59 Gold medals. While Haryana stands at third position with a total of 161 medals including  53 gold medals. The event will take place till November 9th at 28 venues across Goa.
