The 2nd National SDRF CBRN Competition 2026 concluded today at the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) ground in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh.
Speaking at the event, NDRF Director General Piyush Anand said that the NDRF had launched the initiative two years ago to strengthen the capabilities of State Disaster Response Forces.
He said the initiative was launched following directions from Union Home Minister Amit Shah to enhance the training and capabilities of SDRF personnel. Mr Anand added that a total of 19 teams participated in the competition.
Organized By: National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), following an initiative launched two years ago under the guidance of Union Home Minister Amit Shah to strengthen State Disaster Response Forces (SDRFs).
Participation: A total of 19 state teams participated in regional-level contests, with 8 qualifying for the final round: Rajasthan, Bihar, Haryana, Uttarakhand, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Gujarat.
