Telangana govt. asks all network hospitals to join PM RAHAT scheme.

The Telangana government has asked all network hospitals to join the PM RAHAT scheme. This scheme helps road accident victims get quick treatment.

Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju held a video conference with district collectors, police superintendents and transport officials.

Transport Commissioner Ilambarithi, Health Principal Secretary Christina Chongthu and Aarogyasri CEO Jendage Hanumanthu also took part.

The Chief Secretary said that if accident victims reach a nearby hospital in the “golden hour,” they will get treatment worth up to one and a half lakh rupees under this scheme.

He said more than one thousand hospitals have joined the Aarogyasri scheme. But only 469 hospitals have joined PM RAHAT so far.

He ordered the collectors to make sure all remaining hospitals are enrolled. He stated that at least one hundred crore rupees worth of treatment can be given every year under this scheme.

This will also reduce the burden on the Aarogyasri scheme. He also made it clear that hospitals must follow the rules, including police investigation, before giving treatment under PM RAHAT.
