UP govt to rename Noida International Airport in Jewar as Narendra Modi International Airport.

The Uttar Pradesh government has decided to rename the Noida International Airport in Jewar as Narendra Modi International Airport, Noida-Jewar.

The State Cabinet yesterday approved a proposal in this regard at a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

Addressing the media after the Cabinet meeting, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on behalf of his Cabinet for the international airport, which he described as a major gift to Uttar Pradesh.

The Chief Minister said, the airport is expected to become the largest in Uttar Pradesh and emerge as a major aviation hub in the country. Prime Minister Modi inaugurated the airport on 28th of March this year.
