Arunachal Pradesh Governor KT Parnaik has said that music is a universal language that transcends boundaries, connects hearts and inspires positive thinking.
Attending the Ziro Music festival at Ziro, Mr Parnaik highlighted that events like Ziro Festival provide a constructive platform for young people to express themselves, develop confidence and channel their energy into creative pursuits.
The Governor also appraised that the festival has emerged as one of India’s most celebrated independent music festivals and a remarkable example of how culture, creativity and community participation can come together to create opportunities for the youths.
Parnaik said the festival had evolved into a platform where culture, creativity and community participation converge, creating opportunities for young people while showcasing Arunachal Pradesh to visitors from across India and abroad.
Since its inception in 2012, the festival has attracted musicians and music enthusiasts from India and overseas. It has also helped promote sustainable tourism and highlight the cultural heritage of the state, he said.
The Governor noted the festival’s emphasis on eco-friendly practices, including the use of bamboo infrastructure and active participation of the local community.
