Former Additional Director General of Kerala Police, Tomin J. Thachankary was sentenced to four years’ imprisonment and fine in disproportionate assets case.
The Kottayam Vigilance Court has found former ADGP Tomin J. Thachankary, who served as the State Police Sub-Chief, guilty in a disproportionate assets case.
The case pertains to acquiring assets disproportionate to his known sources of income while holding official position.
The Vigilance found that he accumulated disproportionate assets worth ₹64.70 lakh between January 2003 and July 2007.
The case was registered based on a complaint filed by Boby Kuruvilla.
The trial for this case, in which the charge sheet was filed in 2013, was completed following strict directives from the High Court.
