Eklavya Model Residential Schools of Rajasthan to get computer labs-cum-smart classrooms. 

The National Scheduled Tribes Finance and Development Corporation (NSTFDC), under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) today signed a Memorandum of Understanding for establishing computer labs-cum-smart classrooms in Eklavya Model Residential Schools in Rajasthan.

The smart classrooms will be established under the Corporate Social Responsibility initiative at a total cost of over 16 crore rupees.

Talking to reporters in New Delhi, Secretary, Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Ranjana Chopra said the investment will go a long way in supporting students of Eklavya Model Residential Schools.

She said the government is committed to providing quality education to tribal students.

Ms. Chopra informed that more than 450 students from Eklavya Model Residential Schools have qualified for IIT-JEE Advanced this year , while over 350 students have qualified for NEET UG examination  this year.
