Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia expresses grief over death of Manipur musician Chongtham Vikram Singh in Delhi.

Union Minister for Development of North Eastern Region Jyotiraditya Scindia has expressed grief over the demise of Manipur musician Chongtham Vikram Singh in New Delhi.

In a social media post, Mr Scindia said that the safety and dignity of every person from the Northeast is non-negotiable.

He urged the Delhi Police to ensure swift action and conduct a thorough investigation, ensuring that those responsible face the strictest consequences under the law.

The Minister also conveyed his condolences to Mr Singh’s family and friends.

According to Delhi Police, Mr Singh succumbed to his injuries after an alleged physical assault in Delhi.

Deputy Commissioner of Police, South East Delhi, Vineet Kumar has informed that a total of seven people have been arrested, and one minor has been apprehended in the case.
