Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav visited Chitrakoot today.
He inspected the affected areas for about an hour and met flood-affected people at a relief shelter. The Chief Minister distributed relief materials and listened to the problems of the people.
He directed officials to make necessary arrangements to enable affected families to return to normal life after the flood water recedes.
The Mandakini river in Chitrakoot is about 30 feet above the normal level, and several areas have been flooded.
