In Tamil Nadu, the State Government today said that an environmental expert team has been formed to look into the pollution levels in the Kosasthalaiyar near Ennore.
In a reply to a call note, the Minister for Environment, V.K. Rajiv, said that 2150 kilograms of fish in the Kosasthalaiyar had to be disposed of recently because of the pollution in the river.
He said that steps have been taken to rectify the pollution-causing agents.
The Minister said that research would be conducted and a report would be submitted within ten days.
