An Orange alert of heavy rainfall has been declared in 12 of 14 Districts of Keralam Today.
Akashvani correspondent reports that Orange Alert, indicating very heavy isolated rainfall, has been issued for all districts in Keralam except Thiruvananthapuram and Kollam. Yellow Alert, indicating heavy isolated rainfall, is in effect for Thiruvananthapuram and Kollam districts.
A total of 353 relief camps are functioning across the state with 13,496 people. A total of 56 houses have been completely destroyed, while 499 houses have been partially damaged.
Sixteen deaths have been reported, and five people remain missing. Meanwhile, the IMD has informed that the intensity of rainfall across the state is expected to decrease from Wednesday onwards.
