Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs Manohar Lal today inspected the flats which are being constructed under the Karjivi Awas Yojana. The flats are being developed by the Delhi Development Authority in Pocket-11 of Narela, Delhi.
In a social media post, the minister said that the scheme is a significant initiative aimed at providing safe, quality, and affordable housing to dedicated karmayogis serving the nation, including current and retired public servants.
During the inspection, officials were instructed to ensure green spaces, children’s playgrounds, senior citizen-friendly facilities, community centres, adequate parking, uninterrupted water and electricity supply, effective sewerage systems, cleanliness, security, better public transportation, and other essential social infrastructure within the complex.
The minister underlined that the proper development of these facilities will make this residential complex more attractive, encouraging more eligible homebuyers to settle here.
He added that the goal of the Government is to develop Narela as a modern, well-planned, and amenity-rich residential hub, where citizens have access to respectable and convenient housing alongside a high-quality urban lifestyle.
