Central Railway will run 246 Ganpati Special trains from 11th. to 27th. September for the benefit of Ganpati devotees. These include 184 reserved services connecting Mumbai and Pune with Sawantwadi Road, Ratnagiri and Madgaon, and 62 unreserved services between Diva and Khed.
Booking for reserved trains will open from 1st August at all counters and on the IRCTC website. Detailed timings are available on the National Train Enquiry System website and the NTES app.
The additional services will improve connectivity between Mumbai, the Konkan region, Goa and Pune, helping thousands of devotees travel during the festival.
According to Dr Swapnil Nila, Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO), Central Railway, 184 trains will operate as mixed specials comprising AC, Sleeper and unreserved coaches, while 62 services will run as fully unreserved special trains. “Central Railway will run 246 Ganpati Special Trains for the benefit of Ganpati devotees during the ensuing Ganpati Festival,” Dr Nila said.
Ganpati Special Train Reservation Dates
Passengers can book tickets through all PRS reservation counters, IRCTC, and RailOne.
Unreserved tickets will be available through the UTS system at normal fares.
Passengers can check halt timings through the NTES app or the Railway enquiry portal.
