Zoji La pass, which connects Jammu and Kashmir to Ladakh, has been opened for vehicular traffic for the first time ever in January.
In a significant boost to connectivity in the Ladakh region, 72 vehicles crossed the Zoji-La pass for the first time ever on January 2.
The development is a stellar achievement for Border Roads Organisation (BRO), as it will provide the crucial link between Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh even during the peak winter season.
On its Twitter handle, BRO has posted a video of vehicles that crossed Zoji La pass on Sunday. Zoji La pass is normally closed during the winter months.
