Fire breaks out in a building in Delhi’s Karol Bagh area.

A fire broke out on the upper floor of a building in Delhi’s Karol Bagh. Delhi Fire Service has said that fire tenders have been deployed to contain the fire.

The Delhi Police in a social media post said that the fire has been brought under control. It added that two students trapped in a paying guest accommodation on the upper floor were safely rescued and one student sustained minor injuries during the incident.

The Fire Service said that no casualties have been reported so far and the rescue operation is underway.

Police personnel, including senior officers, also reached the site. Authorities said necessary safety and traffic arrangements had been put in place, while the situation was being closely monitored in coordination with the Fire Department.
